Spring House is a nine-bed facility for those with a serious mental illness needing a stress-free environment to help them recover from psychiatric distress and then resume their daily lives.

Operated by Comprehensive Mental Health Services, Spring House is a crisis/respite facility, staffed at all times by two or more mental health technicians. It is designed to serve citizens of Jackson County who are experiencing some emotional and/or psychiatric distress and who need a stress-free environment in which to recover and resume normal lives or who need respite/step down from hospital care. The average stay is two weeks, with a maximum stay of 31 days.

Facility staff provide protective oversight and stabilization services, prepare the meals, monitor medications and access the referring professional and/or team as necessary. The manager of the facility is involved on an on-going basis and is on-call for the facility at all times.
