SUGGESTED PROJECTS

WHICH CAN BE HELD TO BENEFIT CMHS PROGRAMS

 

“Linus Project” – make quilts for adults & children in programs, to be presented as a “welcome” gift on arrival at the center.

“Birthday Party” for the child care  program (staff can provide a wish list). Guests bring a gift for the Child Care Center.

Pillow Toss Party – could involve a local radio station (DJs wear PJs) and have a large bin/crib for people to drive by and toss in a new pillow, pillowcases or bedding for adults and/or children

Rock-a-thon – Sponsors donate money for an hour of rocking

Candy sale – with proceeds to a specific CMHS/Ren West project

 

Woodworking Projects

Classroom mailboxes for parent notes

Storage units for coats and backpacks

Storage shed for outdoor equipment, bikes, etc.

Storage shed for trash

 

PROJECTS WHERE GROUPS COULD WORK WITH CLIENTS

 

Baking cookies/pies (Could also hold bake sale)

Creating centerpieces for dining room tables

Sewing, knitting and/or crocheting (Baby blankets, baby doll clothes)
