RENAISSANCE WEST For over 30 years, Renaissance West has
provided substance abuse treatment services for persons in residential,
outpatient and aftercare programs. Renaissance West is one of Kansas City's
longest standing and most successful treatment programs. Renaissance West became a part of
Comprehensive Mental Health Services, Inc. in 1998. Renaissance West has one of only two
programs in the metropolitan area to provide treatment, including
residential, services to women and their children. Family therapy,
therapeutic child care and community support are provided in this program. The program for men provides a
residential component, outpatient and aftercare services, as well as,
community support and assistance in locating a job. The detox program serves both men and
women with an average length of stay of three days. Individuals are referred
to the treatment program upon completion of detox. See Addiction Recovery page for
