CLUBHOUSE
Adult Community Support/Psychosocial Rehabilitation
Clubhouse or psychosocial rehabilitation is an outpatient program provided by Comprehensive Mental Health Services, Inc. to aid people with mental illness. Clubhouse is set up with a holistic approach and means something new and different to each person in the program. For some consumers it represents a place to learn, for others, it is a window to the community around them and for many others, it is a second family.
The goal of every consumer is
to improve quality of life and to develop independent living skills. This is
achieved through the utilization of various treatment and educational resources
in the CMHS array of programs. It also is achieved by assisting consumers in
building necessary linkages with a consumer population and a wide range of
community resources.
Psychosocial rehabilitation
is designed to accommodate a diverse consumer population. Together, with a
strong self-supporting community team, consumer confidence and a progressive
schedule of events, success can be obtained by all that participate. The program
is dedicated to each consumer obtaining growth in his/her social and daily
living skills and increasing the level of individual participation in
society.
