

Bill served as the President and CEO of Comprehensive Mental Health Services for almost 30 years.
In 2009, he was elected as Board Chair of the National Council of Behavioral Healthcare and for six years prior to that, was Staff Director over Region VII covering Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska.
Bill was also a founding member of CommCare, a regional managed behavioral healthcare company comprised of 11 mental health organizations.
He served for several years as President of the Board.
Bill was currently Board Chair of the Missouri Coalition of Community Behavioral Healthcare for the state of Missouri; he also as Chairman for the Metropolitan Mental Health Stakeholders.
In 1994, he was recognized by the Kansas City Globe as one of the 100 Most Influential African Americans in Greater Kansas City. He was most recently inducted into the Boys National Alumni Association on July 30, 2011.
Bill's interest in mental health and addiction services stem from his own background. A runaway who was homeless on the streets of Kansas City for a time, Bill describes his time at Boys tow as "the best four years of my life...I wasn't always sure what I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted to help other people." Bill is a Lifetime member of the Boys Town National Alumni Association.
